Environmental Governance Models

Synexe is currently undertaking a research project looking at best practice governance models for environmental management by community and indigenous groups. This research also looks at various planning documents that can be used by these groups and provides an analysis of the role that they play in environmental management.

Opportunities for Freshwater Aquaculture

Synexe is currently completing a project that will identify opportunities for freshwater aquaculture in New Zealand for Te Wai Maori Trustee Ltd. The project will also consider the impact of freshwater on wild stocks, national and international models, and whether or not freshwater aquaculture is viable mechanism for providing for customary interests.
