We have specific expertise in health systems, health policy and population health with a specialty in cross-cultural health issues.

Synexe is embarking on a project looking at the critical success factors that promote successful inter-organisational collaboration in the New Zealand health system. By identifying these critical success factors the goal of the project is to provide opportunities for the replication of successful initiatives across a range of heath-related services in the pursuit of improved population health outcomes, reduced inequalities and improved chronic disease outcomes.

Synexe is currently working to create a Maori Tobacco Control Leadership model in order to assist smoking cessation efforts in New Zealand. Building on the latest international research on leadership and coalitions this project is creating a model for implementation across the entire New Zealand health system focusing on the creation of a culturally appropriate health interventions for indigenous peoples which can be contextualized for different groups in order to maximize their legitimacy, sustainability and effectiveness.
