Law, Justice and Conflict Projects

Indigenous Community Policing

Synexe is currently undertaking research looking at the operation of indigenous community policing initiatives in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and USA. The goal of the research is to help indigenous groups across all four countries to achieve peaceful and stable communities.

Reconciling Introduced and Customary Justice Systems

Synexe is conducting research looking at the intersection of introduced and customary justice systems. Focusing on the articulation of these formal and informal systems, the aim of this research is to provide more effective and appropriate justice systems ñ particularly in post-conflict environments.
